This afternoon we spent some time synergizing with our 3rd grade buddies. We created pictures from a single scribble that represented both our ideas and personalities. The children used structures from writing/reading (planning, drafting, side by side partner conversations) as they completed the task together. They ended the time exploring non-fiction texts with their partners to determine the difference between interesting information and important (main idea) information.
