We had a great first day together! Some of the pictures from yesterday included our first class meeting, learning about the "talking stick", reading some stories (First Day Jitters, The Kissing Hand, and The Night Before Kindergarten). The children each shared their favorite part of the day with the group and we ended our day with our very first class picture (serious and silly for your viewing pleasure!).
Today we will be learning about making friends and keeping friends. We will continue to learn our kindergarten procedures for our room and specials times and will begin to take a closer look at our names!
Be on the look out for red folders coming home in the blue "communication folders" tonight. The blue folders travel back and forth to school each day and are used for communication between home and school. These red folders our your child's first official "assignment". I promise it will be fun for you and your child. Please read the instructions enclosed in the folder and return by next Monday.
