This week in writing our focus was on identifying the features of list books v. story books. The children worked to identify which familiar books from reading time were stories and what made them interesting (who, what, where) we then created a chart that we used to measure against our kindergarten stories. The children have been working so hard and are really begin to write stories instead of just listing events.
