We have really been focusing on reading strategies this week! The children have learned the importance of looking at the cover before reading, taking a "book look" to get ideas about who the story is about and what is happening. We have also been focused on touching the 1st letter of each word on a page and linking our eyes, finger, and mouth as we read the page. To make this all the more fun, the children have been using festive pointers to make sure their mouth is matching the letters and making the appropriate sounds!
