Readable Writing

The children have been focusing on making their reading writable.  Yesterday we looked at kindergarten writing from another class and sorted them into readable and unreadable writing.  The children decided that readable writing has lots of detailed pictures, background colors, and realistic people colors for skin tone, hair, eyes, and clothes.  They also realized that books are easier to read with words and spaces.  Here are some examples of readable pieces from our own writing yesterday....we are really on a roll!
Readable writing has spacing and B/M/E sounds in words
 Readable writing has background
 My story has a beginning...
Middle...
 and end!
 Readable writing has detail
Readable writing has sound effects and thinking clouds
